Mindfully Designing Your Life
The Grad Room Presents: Mindfully Designing Your Life June 7, 14 & 21 from 2pm - 4 pm @ Grad Room (66 Harbord Street) "In the session, you will discover and discuss how mindful approaches can help you orient a life or future plan that is more meaningful and authentic.
This series will cover:
-Becoming more emotionally intelligent
-Using a design mindset to tackle big problems
-Coaching and mentoring others to mindfully design their life"
We will be offering free yoga classes throughout summer starting May 11th. Yoga will be offered every Thursday (5:15pm - 6:15pm) at the Grad Room - 66 Harbord Street. If the weather is nice, we may do yoga outdoors. Please check our Facebook page before every class to confirm if we will be outdoors.
Dance De-Stressor Series (Beginner Jazz)
FREE Dance series are offered by Grad Minds. The first session was held in November from our very own Jacayln Kelly. No Dance experience is needed. Our next dance class will be held in September 2017.
Open Minds Conference 2017
March 29th, 2017- This annual conference was organized by Grad Minds which provides a forum for discussion on graduate students' mental health, well-being and nutrition. This year's Conference was a success with a little over 150 attendees and many key note speakers!
Strengthening Resilience -Coping with Loss, Crisis and Stress
October 17th, 2016- This event was facilitated by Oliver-Hugues Terreault. His talk was built on how to align ourselves with our true meaning and purpose, allowing a sense of meaning and joy.
Open Minds Conference 2016
March 29th, 2016- This annual conference was organized by Grad Minds which provides a forum for discussion on graduate students' mental health and well-being. This event has guided art therapy sessions and a comedy performance to mark the end of the conference.
