November 21 – Introduction to Mindful Self-Compassion

Grad Minds will be holding their final workshop of the Fall 2019 semester on Mindful Self-Compassion with registered psychotherapist and certified counsellor Lindsay Kudlow. This introductory workshop will provide simple tools for participants to respond in kind and compassionate ways whenever they feel painful emotions. Mindful self-compassion teaches us how to: motivate ourselves through encouragement rather than self-criticism, stop being so hard on ourselves, and respond to feelings of failure or inadequacy with self-kindness. Through discussion, meditation, and experiential exercises, participants will learn what mindful self-compassion is, how it is beneficial, and practical exercises to help cultivate this skill in our daily lives.

Date: Thursday, November 21st, 2019

Time: 5:30 - 6:30 PM

Location: 66 Harbord Street, Grad Room
